Tabora Farm - Tabora has been an operating farm since the mid-1700s. This is a true family destination. View the deli menu, taste the wonderful baked goods. Tabora Farm is also an orchard. Pearl S. Buck House - The Pearl S. Buck House, a National Historic Landmark in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, PA, was the home of Pearl S. Buck and her family. The beautiful and iconic Bucks County stone farmhouse contains a rich, intact collection from the extraordinary (the typewriter on which she wrote The Good Earth) to the ordinary (a closet full of board games her family played). The grounds of the estate also contain Pearl S. Buck’s gravesite, greenhouse, award-winning gardens, Cultural Center (a former barn where Ms. Buck held community events), the Estate Pavilion (which houses special events and weddings), and the Welcome Center (which contains the International Gift Shop, the Exhibit Gallery, and the offices of Pearl S. Strassburger Farmstead – Take a step back in time to the mid-19th century. The c. 1830 homestead building and summer kitchen look much like it did when the Strassburgers lived in it. Enter the bank barn, you will be convinced you can smell the farm animals. Visit the museum building, displaying the rural life and businesses that were Hilltown in another era. Lower Hilltown Baptist Church Cemetery – This was the site of the original Hilltown Baptist Church, on land donated by pioneer settler and Reverend William Thomas. The first church was built here in 1737 by the Reverend Thomas himself. Over time, the congregation grew, until the main Hilltown Church was located several miles up the road. In 1970, the lower church was removed, but the cemetery is lovingly cared for by the Hilltown Church. The first burial occurred in 1752. There are a number of Revolutionary War soldiers buried here. Along Chalfont Rd is an Oak Tree that was present when William Penn traveled up the Indian Trail, now known as Hilltown Pike. Next to 11 Chalfont Rd, Chalfont, PA. 18914.
Bishop Estates Vineyard & Winery - Bishop’s offers 20 different wines and is open every day. Enjoy a tasting of six wines and find out which are your favorites. After you are done tasting, purchase a glass of wine and linger at the farm. At times, there is weekend live music outdoors or at a firepit. During cold weather, events and music are indoors in the wine processing room. This is a farm that dates back into the 1800s, and has been in the Bishop family for 100 years. Blooming Glen Pork – Buy your fresh pork products direct from the Moyer family in the Blooming Glen store. Since 1856, this is a family owned and family run business. Philadelphia Glider Council – Despite the name, this gliderport sits right in the middle of Hilltown Township. This is a premier soaring club nestled in a 125 acre site. Tow planes and gliders take to the air together, then release, beginning the day of soaring. Contact the Glider Council to experience this for yourself. Bolton’s Farm Market – Another family business in Hilltown, dating back 80 years. This started out as a turkey farm, and that is still a major part of their sales.
